How it all began…
NarrowLifting started in the Netherlands under the name Hijsen in het Nauw B.V., with a mission to bring more flexibility to lifting operations. One of the founders, Appie, had worked as a freelance mechanic and often faced difficulties when renting Spider cranes. Teaming up with Leendert, the co-founder of Hijsen in het Nauw, they decided to create a better solution. In 2014, they officially launched Hijsen in het Nauw and purchased their first Spider crane, the Hoeflon C10, along with a Dolly for transport.

What started as a small operation with just two people has now grown into a team of 20 dedicated professionals. Every day, we work together to ensure the success of each lifting project. From humble beginnings, we’ve evolved into a global company with branches in Australia, Germany, and the Netherlands. Our fleet has grown to include over 50 Spider cranes, 12 trucks, and 50 other specialized machines like mini diggers, concrete vacuum lifters, and glass lifters. We’re proud of our journey and the reputation we’ve built as a trusted partner for even the most challenging lifting tasks!
